Medical Supplies Giveaway

UPDATE: These supplies have been given away. Hopefully they’ll be put to good use!

——————————————————————

Hello! I know I’ve been slack – I promise an update is coming, I’ve just had a lot on lately.

Basically, I’m in the process of getting rid of a lot of things I don’t need anymore – and one large thing is all the medical supplies I’ve gathered on my Phalloplasty journey.

Now before I get into everything, I had to stipulate that this is only for people in Australia. I’d prefer Brisbane locals (because it’s easier to organise pick-up/drop-off), but I’m happy to post things out – as long as you’re happy to pay the postage.

Right! Let’s get into it:

Please note: nothing listed below has ever been used in any way.

2L overnight drainage bags

I have 13 of these suckers left over. You connect them to your leg bag to drain your catheter overnight. Also handy if you’re bed-ridden post-op for some reason, or just can’t be bothered to get up to drain the little leg bags frequently.

600ml leg bag

I have 2 of these left. They’re good for 7 days before they need changing out, and connect to your catheter/overnight bags as required.

20cm x 20cm combine pad

Pretty self-explanatory for those that have come across them before. Good for a multitude of uses such as stopping bleeding, stopping fluids running onto whatever you’re lying on etc.

I personally mainly used them for when I was lying in bed. I have 3 in this size.

10cm x 22cm combine pad

Basically a smaller, rectangle version of the ones above. Good to use like an actual pad if you’re bleeding or dribbling. 8 to give away.

Biohazard bags

2 to give away. Good for chucking all your used medical supplies away in.

Maternity Bluey

I know what you’re thinking. But trust me – if you’re bleeding/oozing/getting cleaned up frequently, these things are awesome. All you have to do is think about what they’re primarily used for – and you get an idea on the amount they can withstand. These things are like the blueys they put under you in hospital, but on steroids.

4 to give away. They’re probably 50cm x 75cm.

Miscellaneous

As suggested, just a few other bits and pieces. There’s a male Tena pad there (awesome for when I spent a week bleeding after I opened my internal stitches), a flexitrack to hold your catheter line in place, and a couple different dressings.

I don’t want any money for this stuff, I just want people who need it to have it. As I said before though, if postage is involved – all I ask is that you cover the costs.
